What is Mindfulness?
There are lots of definitions some seemingly complex, others very simple, some traditional, some based on recent research. For us mindfulness is about developing an awareness of ourselves and others, of understanding the way we live and how it impacts on people and the planet. It is about cultivating a sense of appreciation and kindness; firstly to ourselves then to those around us.
Mindfulness isn't some dreamy state, it is about being awake, right now, understanding not only what is going on internally and externally, but recognising our actions have consequences, understanding the power of thoughts and emotions and living accordingly. It is about having values and living by them, getting more out of life.
Developing mindfulness helps you whether you are leading a company, bringing up a family or simply trying to cope with whatever life throws at you.
